END OF THE WEEK:
No introduction this week. I'm just going straight to it. As always, here are some of this week's most memorable moments:
Stories of the Week:
- The Actual Story of the Week: Apple Introduces the iPad
I find it interesting that before this was introduced, tablets were second rate. Now, it's the so called future of technology. That is all.
- The Tiger Woods Saga of '09 Memorial Story of the Week: Investigation of Man Cuddling Chicken on NYC Subway Begins
Are the taxpayer paying for all of this? You bet!
Death of the Week: J.D. Salinger
Shall we call this the first celebrity death of 2010? I do, simply because of the fact that he wrote "The Catcher and the Rye," (which some people are calling it one of the 20th century's best books). The fact that there were many positive tributes about him, from how he depicted teen angst so perfectly to how he was never in the spotlight and much more, is also why.
Videos of the Week: "Favre Blows It... Husband Reacts"
"FUCKIN INTERCEPTION! ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME?! OH MY FUCK... TACKLE!" Wow. Where's Mastercard's marketing team? Because that, my friends, was a priceless moment. Just... priceless. However, this is what he gets for supporting and wearing the jersey of a player who was one of his team's archrival for 16 years. As the old saying goes, payback is a bitch...
Person of the Week: Brett Favre Haters
for finally getting what they've been waiting for all these weeks. After a relatively good game, their most hated football player throws that long awaited INT in the final minute of the 4th quarter in Sunday's NFC Championship game. It was practically like Christmas to them. The runner-up goes to FOX for broadcasting the NFC Championship Game, which drew 58 million viewers, the highest rated non- Super Bowl program since the "Seinfeld" finale. What I'm trying to basically say is that most people who either watched or was part of that NFC Championship game (except for Vikings supporters) came out of it happy.
And that's the way i is! I'll be back tomorrow for the first "End of the Month" post of 2010. Enjoy the rest of your night, everyone.
Sincerely,
Your pal: mj15
