RANDOM THOUGHTS:
I apologize for you reading this blog on MySpace for the technical difficulties I have been receiving for some reason since . Unfortunately, it is beyond my control and can only be fixed from the overlords of this site as I am utterly helpless in this regard. Hopefully this should get settled very soon. But enough of this crappy new MySpace design...let's get on to the Random Thoughts!
The following were on my mind between Thursday, November 4th and Monday, November 8th:
- And the unofficial winner for big named store/franchise with the earliest December holiday commercials that only matters to me goes to...Best Buy with their commercial of the elf with the glasses saying something about how the store will do something up to Christmas day!
- How awesome is it that for the next few weeks, us NFL fans will be offered some great games like Baltimore/Atlanta, New England/Pittsburgh, Indianapolis/New England, Giants/Philadelphia, Pittsburgh/Baltimore, Jets/New England and Indianapolis/Tennessee for the next five weeks?
- For a magazine that is supposed to be a "cultural catalyst" and a magazine "that provokes and drives the popular dialogue," Vanity Fair sure has been putting a lot of dead females on the cover lately.
-#3 ranked TCU beat #5 Utah in dominating fashion (47-7), but were still not able to get pass Auburn (who played DIV. 1 FCS Chattanooga this week) in the BCS standings. I'm sorry, John Saunders and the NCAA, but the BCS still sucks.
- How is an MLS matchup between the San Jose Earthquake and the Colorado Rapids considered an Eastern Conference playoff game?
- Based on the trailers, I'm pretty sure "The Warrior's Way" is supposed to be the 2010 version "Ninja Assassin," meaning that it should have the exact same plot as the latter.
- A very disappointing follow-up to the pilot episode by "The Walking Dead" last night. Though it was still as tense and as captivating in many aspects as the pilot, there were still many parts of it that were just too predictable. The racist white Southerner? Not surprising. Rick and Glenn walking among the zombies with the scent of zombie blood only to get caught when it started to rain and the smell faded? I already saw it in a way in "Shaun of the Dead." Hopefully, they can rebound with an even better episode next week.
- It's time! It's finally time! After the nine month wait following his final two weeks on "The Tonight Show" and all the drama with Leno and NBC and the massive buy-out, Conan O'Brien is finally back on TV today with the premiere of his new late night talk show "Conan"! All I can say is...it's good to have a good friend back in my living room every weeknight.
So...that's going to do it for now. Enjoy the start of your workweek, everybody!
Sincerely,
Your pal: mj15
