Happy Columbus Day, everyone! While I'm know you're probably celebrating this glorious holiday, here are some thoughts I had between Thursday, October 8th to Monday, October 12th:
- I wonder who cried more when they heard that there wasn't going to be a Red Sox- Yankees ALCS: Bud Selig, every "Sawx" fan in the country, or Joe Buck?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, I wonder what the panic scale is for New England sports fans is today? I'd say a 15.
- You know your life sucks when there's a Japanese golfer (Ryo Ishikawa) that's one year older than you and a million times more popular and successful.
- This week's episode of "The Office" might have been the series's best, and probably the best comedy episode in TV history.
- How does one celebrate Columbus Day, and why is it even a national holiday?
- Weekly "Mad Men" thought: This is what the show is all about! Sex, sex, and more sex. Basically, it's one of the main attractions that makes it a good view.
- Watched "Nightmare on Elm Street" on Saturday. Too '80s, cheesy and unintentionall funny at times, but still great. I can't think of any movie like it.
- First, Cedric Benson became of the top rushers in the league. Then, Kyle Orton became a 5-0 quarterback. Worst bye week as a Bears fan ever.
- Peyton Manning, whom I traded for Tom Brady in August, just had his fifth straight 300 yard game and is having is best year yet. Reason #15 why I hate fantasy football.
More random thoughts to come later this week!
Sincerely,
Your pal: mj15
