RANDOM THOUGHTS:
The following were on my mind between Monday, November 29th and Thursday, December 2nd:
-Poor Boise State. They specifically accepted an invitation to leave the Western Athletic Conference this past summer so they could join the Mountain West conference and possibly play in a conference with TCU, BYU, and Utah in football. But then Utah joined the Pac-10, BYU became a football independent and a WAC team in other sports and TCU decided that they would rather join the Big East and play against teams thousands of miles east of them than face the Broncos. They just continue to be the Rodney Dangerfield of the college football world.
- You know the situation is bad for the Miami Heat when one of the top stories on ESPN's Heat Index (an idea that I'm sure will get someone fired if they continue this losing trend) is Udonis Haslem's season ending foot surgery and how it will negatively impact the team.
-Screw Rudolph and Charlie Brown! My favorite holiday-related TV special is none other than "South Park's" awesome Woodland Critter Christmas Episode!

- I wonder if the founder of Sylvania electronics was a fan of the movie "Duck Soup."
-Good job by the White Sox acquiring Adam Dunn. It's always good to add a terrific left-handed batter like him, especially if that left-handed batter has consistently been one of the best power hitter in MLB for the past eight years. Now, if only the team can reacquire Paul Konerko...
-Michael K. Williams, who is famous for playing Omar from "The Wire" and Chalky White on "Boardwalk Empire" appearing on part 9 of Trapped in the Closet has to rank among the weirdest and even shocking cameos in film history. I mean, first he is playing one of the best characters on one of the best shows in TV history and then he's playing a cop who just found out that his white wife is having an affair with a midget ?!?! Bizarre.
- Gah! Reading the comments section of news stories written on Yahoo! is the worst! It's like someone took the insane, if not racist, a-hole from AOL and made them more retarded.
- Watching Derek Anderson's press conference on Monday night is like watching a little kid who is trying hard to state the truth, even though you know 100% that he's lying (especially if that little kid was shown laughing on national TV).
More random thoughts to come on Monday! Now, as you know, today marks the second day of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights. Now, I do not celebrate the holiday. However, I woud like to wish anyone who does to enjoy it very safely and merrily through the most appropriate way possible: by doing what I did last year at this time and embed "South Park's" terrific "Dreidel Song." Zay gezunt, everyone!
Sincerely,
Your pal: mj15
