Random Thoughts: 10/29/09- 11/01/09

/>
The following were on my mind between Thursday, October 29th to Monday, November 2nd:

- And the winner of the world's most awesom costume goes to... this guy's!

- As a guy who has hated Brett Favre since this April, I was incredibly happy to hear Packer's fans boo him before yesterday's matchup. Now, they knew how we Bears fans felt the last decade plus.

- Am I the only one that finds the screenshot of the kicker practicing for a possible game-winning field goal later on one of the most compelling and fascinating moments while watching a football game?

- As a guy that has watched and observed dozens of horror films the month, I gotta ask: why has the American slasher film declined over the years? Did people just started getting lazy with it? Is it the bad acting? Is it the bad writing? Is it the inability to make a new original one? I mean, back in the 80's, you had the "Halloween" movies (most notably #2 and #4, the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies (including the very scary, yet underrated part III) and "Friday the 13th." Now, you have these crappy movies like "One Missed Call" and "My Bloody Valentine." What the hell happened?

- Really, FOX Sports? Did people actually request a "Favre Cam" for the Vikes- Pack game?

- Michael Myers is the best horror movie villain ever! No one doesn't even come close.

- If I eat one more peice of Snickers, I'm going to almit (that's vomit almonds for short)

- Weekly "Mad Men" thoughts:
1. I knew the Kennedy assasination would be covered, but not this great. Loved how not only the assasination and the character's reactions played out throughout the episode.
2. The season finale is next week Can't wait!

- The Phillies better win he next two games. I don't want to miss another all-new "Fringe" during an already packed Thursday schedule.

Next batch of random thought to come later this week!
Sincerely,
Your pal: mj15
